Odwig's dam sire, Samber is synonymous with coloured performance horses throughout Europe and USA.   He proved himself in competitions in the 1980's reaching Grand Prix in dressage and Grade A show jumping.   Samber's influence as an international performance sire can be seen in all the equestrian Olympic disciplines.

Odwig's great grandsire is the prolific Purioso, who has produced as much for dressage as for jumping.  Including the 3 Olympic sons including Bonfire and Cocktail, whose offspring include Jazz.

Odwig's sire is Edwig who is described as a very talented jumper and dressage horse, and has performed at National Show Jumping level.
